Demonstrations at our concrete laboratory show the performance of Exilva® in self-compacting concrete (SCC). We used a typical mix design for European SCC with strength class C30/35 for the tests.
Exilva: Performance in Self-Compacting Concrete
Using Exilva as a rheology modifier in self-compacting concrete can improve cohesiveness significantly. The effect depends on the dosage. A typical range of Exilva dosage is 0.25 to 5% liquid by weight of cement.
Key takeaways:
- Improved cohesiveness vs. control
- Bio-based
- Sheer thinning effect
- Uniform paste and homogenous concrete
