Awards & Recognitions

Over the years Borregaard has received external recognition, both in terms of funding for research and development and awards.

Here are some of the awards: 

  • 2023: The Stockman Award, The Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts for the best reporting to the financial market (category: small and medium-sized companies)
  • 2023: A+ within sustainability reporting, Position Green Group's "ESG 100" report, ranks the 100 largest listed companies in each Scandinavian country within sustainability information
  • 2023: EcoVadis Gold rating, for our work with sustainability and social responsibility
  • 2022: Double A for climate change and forests and A- for water security, the international climate organisation CDP gave Borregaard a place on its A list for its sustainability leadership.
  • 2022: EcoVadis Platinum rating, for our work with sustainability and social responsibility
  • 2022: A+ in sustainability disclosure, Position Green Group's "ESG 100" report, ranks the 100 largest listed companies in each Scandinavian country within sustainability information
  • 2022: Sarpsborg Municipality's Climate Award, for our effort in transforming Sarpsborg into a low-emissions society
  • 2021: A for climate change and forests, the international climate organisation CDP gave Borregaard a place on its A list for its sustainability leadership in climate change and forests. We also received an A- score for water security
  • 2021: EcoVadis Gold rating, for our work with sustainability and social responsibility
  • 2021: Home-Work-Home Company of the Year, for working systematically to increase the proportion of cyclists, pedestrians or public transport users amongst our employees
  • 2020: A for Climate Work, the international climate organisation CDP gave Borregaard a place on its A list for companies that contribute to positive climate change
  • 2020: The Stockman Award, The Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts for the best reporting to the financial market
  • 2020: Best Overall Investor Relations (small cap), the IR Magazine Awards Europe – for leading the way in investor relations
  • 2020: The Export Award 2020, awarded by Export Credit Norway, GIEK and Innovation Norway, for having succeeded in building value in Norway through foreign markets
  • 2019: A for Climate Work, the international climate organisation CDP gave Borregaard a place on its A list for companies that contribute to positive climate change
  • 2019: Senior Profile of the Year, Centre for Senior Policy, for our work on lifelong learning and internal mobility
  • 2019: Spring 2019 Achievement Award, Biorenewable Deployment Consortium, for outstanding achievements and continuous contributions as the world leader in the development of lignin based renewable products
  • 2019: No.1 in sustainability communication, The Governance Group and BI Norwegian Business School ranked Borregaard as number 1 of 100 assessed companies in the field of sustainability communication
  • 2018: Corporate Excellence Award 2018 Norway, Hérens Quality Asset Management AG - for being the best publicly-listed company in Norway
