Fibres lose quality with increasing recycling rate and do no longer match the typical strength values for corrugated medium. For the customers in this report, the objective was to increase the strength to keep the entire production within specifications.
Strength increase on film and size press
With Borresperse® Paper dosed with starch at increased concentration, strength parameters like SCT, CMT & RCT increased up to 19%. Consequently, the strength was safely over the desired minimum.
