Borregaard received the industry’s climate award
Borregaard has been honoured with The Industry’s Climate Award 2016. The award was handed out at the Zero Conference 2016.
“Borregaard is in front when it comes to the green shift, with its development of renewable raw materials and biomass. The greenhouse gas emissions from fossil plastics and materials are significant globally and must be replaced by renewable solutions. Borregaard shows that the slogan "everything which is made of oil can be made from trees" is a very good business idea for the green shift and for Norway,” says Marius Holm who is leader of the environmental organisation ZERO.

Sustainability and climate perspective is an integrated part of our company's goals og business model, as well as being an important guidance in our research and development activities. Analysis shows that our bio-based products not only have good quality characteristics, but also has far better climate footprints compared to oil-based alternatives,” says Per A.
