APD is synthesised by reacting 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol (CPD) with ammonia in a sodium hydroxide alkaline environment. Afterwards, the product undergoes a series of purification steps.
3-Amino-1,2-propanediol (APD)
We are the world’s largest producer of CPD. It is a viscous chemical and caution needs to be taken to ensure proper handling. The product is most suitably supplied in heated iso-containers.
