SoftAcid® is a unique and efficient acidifier for poultry feed.
The poultry digestive system differs significantly from that of the pig. This, combined with the strong buffering capacity of poultry feed, result in a reduced antimicrobial efficiency of organic acids for this application.
Borregaard has developed a SoftAcid product that contains organic acids and lignosulfonic acid. The product has a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect on both Salmonella and E. coli.
