We ran a comparative study with 12V enhanced flooded SLI batteries manufactured by Superior Batteries in the US. The industry standard organic expander Vanisperse A was replaced by Vanisperse DCA at dosages of 0.25% and 0.30%.
In the graph below we see the results of several evaluations where the reference performance is that of Vanisperse A = 0. SAE Charge Acceptance for dosages of 0.3% and 0.25% improved by 7% and 8%, respectively, and SAE capacity improved by 7% for both dosages. At 0.3% dosage, the 2nd cold crank improved by 19% and 5%, respectively for the Time and Voltage tests.
These batteries also showed significant improvement in dynamic charge acceptance, partial state of charge life performance (VW Start/Stop test results), cycle life and water consumption. You can see the results of the performance of Vanisperse DCA in these critical areas in our technical bulletin.
