Greensperse CA-N performance in FS formulations
Work performed by an external research institute documents the benefits of using Greensperse® CA-N as a binder in flowable concentrate for seed treatment (FS) formulations.
An FS formulation based on the active ingredient tebuconazole was tested with Greensperse CA-N binder. Comparisons were made with a synthetic binder (PEG 400) and a commercial in-can FS formulation.
With Greensperse CA-N, the dust-off from the seed coating is reduced, and the flowability maintained. Greensperse CA-N also has a dispersing effect, which offers additional benefits when included in a FS formulation.

Key takeaways:
- Dust-off was reduced from 0.55 to 0.43 g dust/100 000 seeds (vs PEG 400*)
- Flowability was similar to the formulation with PEG 400
- Greensperse CA-N is bio-based, high-performing and cost-effective
Dust-off results from Heubach test on treated corn seeds.
*PEG 400 = polyethylene glycol.
