Binding and dedusting agents
Borregaard offers sustainable binders that increase pellet durability, reduce dust from attrition and improve storability. They are water-soluble products that dissolve quickly in rain events to release bound nutrients to the soil.
Our binding agents are lignosulfonates, derived from sustainably managed forests. They are natural, safe and approved for organic use. You can be assured that our products align with your EHS and sustainability policies.
Our products improve the quality of granulated and pelleted crop inputs. Such inputs include monoammonium phosphate (MAP), diammonium phosphate (DAP), lime, gypsum, dolimite, potash, manures, compost and more.
They increase crush strength, reduce dust from attrition and are resistant to moisture update to improve storability. This preserves the value of the final pellet or granule you produce.
You can also use our binding and dedusting agents to incorporate micronutrients, humic acids, fulvic acids and other additives to differentiate your products from your competition.
Our products also provide a source of plant-available carbon and are fully water-soluble. The bound nutrients are quickly released to the soil in rain events at an optimal time for plant uptake. Combined, these attributes generate more agronomic benefits to the final product and improve nutrient use efficiency, further adding value to the grower.
Key benefits:
- Higher pellet quality
- Improved storability and longevity
- Consistent and efficient production
- Trusted and reliable binders
- Effective release of nutrients

Trends toward sustainable crop production with speciality fertilizers
Although microorganisms are very small in size, too small to be seen by the eye, they cause substantial economic losses each year for both the food and feed industry. microbial growth can be controlled either by prevention or inhibition – using an antimicrobial agent.
