Borregaard is gaining international recognition for its research and innovation.
International Recognition
Over the past few years, Borregaard has received valuable financial support from external actors such as the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme, the Research Council of Norway, Innovation Norway, Skattefunn, Enova and Biobased Industries for various research projects in the field of biorefining.
Research grants help to mitigate risks and are important in maintaining a high level of innovation. This means that such grants generally lead to large research projects.
Good financial support has enabled Borregaard to build up an important centre of expertise in biorefining and therefore conduct an increasing amount of research at the Research Centre in Sarpsborg. This expertise also provides resources for various other research projects at Norwegian and international universities.
