How Exilva help
CONTROLLED MATTING
Adjustable gloss reduction (up to ~30 GU at 60° depending on dosage).
SOFT-TOUCH FEEL
Delivers smoother surfaces than mineral particles.
LOW VISCOSITY INFLUENCE
Delivers matting without a viscosity jump.
THERMAL STABILITY
Suitable for elevated‑
temperature processing
(up to 250 °C).
How Exilva works
Exilva® forms a three dimensional fibril network within the drying film. During film formation, this network creates a fine micro texture that catters light, producing a uniform matte finish. This mechanism differs from silica or CaCO₃ matting agents, which rely on larger hard particles to roughen the surface.
-
Works in low‑ to mid‑PVC wall paints, matte furniture paints, and premium decorative finishes
-
No impact on colour acceptance or tinting strength
-
Helps stabilize the wet paint and reduce syneresis
-
Can reduce the need for additional thickeners or matting agents
-
No agglomeration or over‑grinding risk
Exilva® – The sustainable, non-silica alternative for modern matte finishes.
