BioDrill TM300 deflocculation laboratory data

Deflocculant evaluation in seawater and gypsum base mud.

The test format serves to evaluate a product’s deflocculation and fluid loss control properties in seawater and seawater-gypsum mud. Additive dosage rates were 5 lb/bbl (14.2 kg/m3) in 9.4 ppg mud (1.127 g/ml), hot rolled 16 hours at 150°F (65°C).

Key takeaways:

  • BioDrill® TM300 is thermal stable deflocculant up to 250ºF ( 120ºC)
  • Contaminant tolerant
  • Secondary product function of reducing fluid loss
