To validate the performance of Vanisperse® AT, we ran two commercial battery trials. We tested under controlled conditions with batteries that were not customized in any way. In one trial we reduced the Negative Anode Mass (NAM) by 8% to evaluate the effect.
Performance tests with Vanisperse AT
In the Cycle Life evaluation where the lead content of the anode was not reduced, we saw that at 41°C Vanisperse AT increased SAE J240 life by 8% and 38% at dosages of 0.25% and 0.30%, respectively. At 75°C SAE J280 life was increased by 32% and 17%, respectively at those dosages. The control batteries were formulated with Vanisperse A. You can see the highlights of the results in the below figure.

In addition to the cycle life test shown above we also evaluated the effect of Vanisperse AT on cold high rate discharge and SAE and VDA water loss.
