International solidarity
Orkla wishes to donate part of its profits to selected social causes. With the Group’s resources we can support institutions, issues and persons that we consider to be in need of and deserving of assistance, and which do not receive sufficient public or other support.

It is natural to regard sponsorship as an instrument in Orkla’s overall communication activities. The Group’s sponsorship is a supplement to the marketing and brand-building activities of individual companies.
Through its sponsorship agreements, Orkla seeks to create opportunities, identification, enthusiasm, respect and credibility both within and outside the organisation.
At Group level, Orkla focuses on sponsorship agreements related to the arts and society that do not naturally fit into subsidiaries’ social relationships with their own customers, employees and local communities.
Borregaard has also contributed support to a school project in South Africa, not far from the company's factory plant in Durban.
