Sponsorship and supporting activities are an investment in the local community, in terms of living environment, business climate and cultural aspects.

This is an important part of Borregaard’s philosophy. By involving ourselves in such activities, we contribute to an attractive living environment with a wide range of cultural, sports and leisure activities.

The company spends about NOK 3 million in funding for various initiatives. In recent years, Borregaard has prioritised fewer but larger initiatives and partners. Cultural and sports activities are receiving a significant portion of the funds. The latest area, which is increasingly important, is "Young Learning", which supports initiatives aimed at schools and efforts to increase interest in and understanding of science.
